For the first time ever, the heli-skiing operation out of Telluride, Colorado is supplying helicopter ski trips from Denver, Colorado. Telluride, Colorado — Telluride Helitrax, for the first time this winter, will offer helicopter skiing trips from Denver, Colorado. Avid skiers and snowboarders will be able to fly out of Denver / Centennial airport into Telluride Regional Airport for a weekend of heli-skiing and be back in Denver in time for work on Monday.

A sample itinerary will depart Denver early Saturday morning to arrive in Telluride in time for a full day of heli-skiing. A day of helicopter skiing includes six runs and approximately 10,000 – 14,000 vertical feet of skiing. The day ends with an après ski hosted by Helitrax. Sunday is considered a free day, but guests are encouraged to ski on Telluride Ski Resort or opt for a second day of heli-skiing. A typical return flight would depart Telluride Sunday afternoon to arrive in Denver before sunset.

The base package is catered to a weekend getaway, but the trip can become custom with add ons. Helitrax can simply add more days of helicopter skiing, accommodate longer trips and modify air travel for groups larger than four people.
