Lake Louise Ski Resort kicked off the 2014-15 ski season today, becoming the first Canadian resort to spin the lifts this winter. Cold temperatures and tons of snowfall made for quite the opening celebration. In observance of the beginning of the season, the Lake Louise’s Sitzmark Lounge will host the Riders Aid Season Opener Party beginning at 9 p.m. tonight. The event will raise money for the Rider Aid Charity, providing clean drinking water for those African countries in need. Press Release provided by Lake Louise Ski Resort:
Banff, Alberta — Skiers and snowboarders it’s time to dust off your ski clothes and tune up the gear. The Lake Louise Ski Resort, the Giant of Canadian Skiing, officially opens today November 13th claiming the title of first resort in Canada to open for the 2014-15 ski season.

Presented by Unlimited Snow and Skate Shop, the event will raise money for the Riders Aid Charity which provides clean drinking water in Africa.
