“The best ski I’ve ever designed.” That’s what veteran professional ripper and all around badass Eric Pollard had to say in regards to the creation of the Line Magnum Opus. “I approached the design with a few ideas on how to accomplish that: larger waist width, longer length, a new tip outline and profile,” said Pollard. EP has been with Line since what seems like the beginning of time, and the Magnum Opus has been a project of his since 2010. After crash courses with multiple prototypes, he ended up with a pretty darn sick product. Seattle, Washington: The Line Magnum Opus, Eric Pollard’s latest ski that has been in development since 2010, is now available. Pollard and Line took a careful and calculated approach to create what many feel to be the ultimate powder ski.

The intensive process used to create the size, shape and graphics for these groundbreaking new powder planks was documented by Pollard.

“The goal of the Magnum Opus was to create a ski that had the same feel as the Mr. Pollard’s Opus ski, but with increased float,” said skier, artist, ski designer and filmmaker Eric Pollard. “I approached the design with a few ideas on how to accomplish that: larger waist width, longer length and a new tip outline and profile.”

Pollard paired Line’s futuristic Cloud Core material with their Early Rise and Early Taper tip shape and profile designs to create an impossibly light powder ski designed to float through the deepest snow with minimal effort. At just 4,200 grams (9 pounds, 4 ounces) per pair, the 188-centimeter long, 124-millimeter waisted Magnum Opus sets a new standard for lightness and versatility for powder skis.
