Press Release provided by RAMP Sports:

Park City, UT — RAMP Sports, a pioneering ski and snowboard manufacturer based in Park City, UT, announced today a one-of-a-kind licensing deal with Major League Baseball Properties to create skis and snowboards featuring officially licensed team logos of all 30 MLB teams. This is the first time Major League Baseball has licensed its team and league marks for use on skis and snowboards. Baseball fans will now be able to show team pride all year long in the mountains.

Handmade in the USA, RAMP Sports crafts each ski and snowboard utilizing a full bamboo core along with a modern vacuum-molding process to ensure the highest quality of strength and durability. The new licensing arrangement between RAMP Sports and MLB allows fans to experience top tier skis and snowboards on the slopes while showing off their team pride.

RAMP and MLB worked together to select specific models from RAMP’s top-selling and most versatile skis and snowboards. For winter 2014-15, the RAMP Woodpecker and Chickadee skis, along with the Tumbleweed snowboard models, will be available for this special program. These models with the official team graphics of fans’ choice, are available for pre-order, starting today, at MLB.com and www.rampsports.com. They will also be available at, select MLB ballpark retail locations and a number of ski and snowboard shops around the US and Canada.

“Being an American company and huge sports fans, we’re honored to work with such a legendary American organization as Major League Baseball,” said Mike Kilchenstein, CESnow of RAMP Sports. “I’ve been in Park City for nine years, but have never wavered in my support of the Red Sox. Now all baseball fans will be able to show off their teams while ripping on the best skis or snowboards on the hill today.”

“Skiing and snowboarding are two of the most popular activities during Baseball’s offseason and we know many of our millions of fans enjoy these sports,” said Howard Smith, Senior Vice President, Licensing, Major League Baseball. “We want our fans to be able to connect with their favorite teams 365 days a year and show their support wherever they are. It was also very important to us that we licensed this category to a high-performance, American company, which RAMP certainly is. I’m very excited to see how they bring innovation to the slopes.”
