The Frostgun Invitational is one rowdy competition. Held in Val d’Isere, France, Frostgun is Europe’s only Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP) Platinum-level big-air contest and the town and attendants definitely make the most of it.
The contest (February 10 – 12) will feature an absolutely massive big-air jump, a 13 meter hip, a progressive rail setup, a collection of some of the world’s best athletes, and body rockin’ DJs, the 2015 Frostgun Invitational will surely provide an outstanding display of freestyle skiing.
In addition to hosting the 2014 Olympic slopestyle bronze medalist Nick Goepper, the 2015 X Games big-air champion Vincent Gagnier and many more, one more big name will be venturing to Val d’Isere to please the crowd in the Frostgun village. Fresh off the heals of his latest viral sensation One of Those Days 2, French freeskiing pioneer, X Games gold medalist and superhuman Candide Thovex will be making a special appearance on the final day of the contest to participate in an autograph session as well as give away some sick as’ schwag.
If you can’t make it to this year’s contest, be on the lookout for more info on the 2015 Frostgun Invitational and be sure to head over to frostgun.com for a 3-D look at the setup.
