Time to raid your dad’s shed to build a summer set-up. Finnish skier Kevin Salonius is giving all the kids who couldn’t make it to summer camp the chance to win some sick prizes this summer. Contestants have a chance to win gear from some of Kevin’s sponsors—Amplid, Saga Outerwear and Tall T Productions—for the best summer edit without any snow. Find more details and enter to win at amplid.com.
“I built my first summer rail setup over half a decade ago, and summer skiing in my backyard has been an important part of my life since. I’ve learned better balance and new tricks from hundreds of hours on the matting, but I’ve also enjoyed good times with my homies and countless memories. I’ve spent many summers with a jigsaw and old pallets creating new features and then trying out new tricks until I’ve dialed something fun and smooth enough to capture on film. I have always been really stoked on watching summer backyard rail edits. It’s so fun to see all the creative setups and new trick combinations people come up with in their backyards. Summer contests have always motivated me to improve and I’ve always had a ton of fun thinking up new, creative ideas to film for edits.”
