Red Bull Cold Rush has been cancelled on account of compromised backcountry conditions. The 2015 Cold Rush was originally slated to take place at Revelstoke Mountain Resort in February; the contest was re-scheduled for late March, also on account of less than desirable conditions.
“This event requires deep powder snow to be a success. Safety for athletes and delivering a premium, progressive ski contest are our ultimate goals for Red Bull Cold Rush. Unfortunately, conditions will not allow for either,” says Scott Jewett, National Event Manager.
