Ziggy Marley @ Red Rocks

Ziggy Marley @ Red Rocks

When the snow melts there’s numerous ways to keep yourself happy come the summer months. Some of us work like crazy, or travel to a summer vacation spot, and some even head to the glaciers to keep our ski season’s going. However, most of us are at least lucky enough to catch some concerts and blow some of that hard earned grass cutting money on a summer variety of live music.

Recently the four time grammy winner and oldest son of the late and great Bob Marley, Ziggy, just stopped in Denver to play the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre with tour mates 311. The recent bout of bad weather Denver has been experiencing didn’t kill the vibe and anticipation to see such a talented artist and son of a musical legend. Ziggy took the stage after as his band mates pretended to be doing soundcheck into what transformed into the opening song of the set. The set lasted for a solid hour as songs spanning his career were played, including his father’s classic ‘I Shot The Sheriff’, as well as Ziggy’s #1 song ‘Love Is My Religion’, which closed out the set.

If Ziggy Marley hasn’t come to a nearby town on the ‘Unity Tour’ yet, make sure to save some cash and mow a few extra lawns, because this is the show of the summer you do not want to miss. You’re getting quite a deal between Ziggy Marley and 311. Check out the photo’s to see what you missed at Red Rocks-
