Following on the heels of a very impressive women’s slopestyle event, eight of skiing’s top halfpipe skiers met atop Buttermilk mountain’s superpipe for a head-to-head showdown this evening. With a monster stack of cash and X Games glory on the line, the riders went all-in—putting down a series of banger tricks in the best-of-three run format.
At the end of the night, it was California-native Maddie Bowman atop the X Games podium for the fourth-straight year. While she held the lead from her first run, Bowman earned the high score of the evening on her third run, posting a score of 89.00. Joining Bowman in the top three was Japanese skier Ayana Onozuka (silver) and American Annalisa Drew (bronze).
