Woodward at Copper is the place to be this summer with the Woodward at Copper Barn reopening after a half-million dollar renovation project and new public on-snow jib-park sessions, complete with lift access.
The Woodward at Copper Barn, a 19,400 square foot facility, will reopen its doors on Saturday, June 15 with an additional 4,000 square feet of multi-level platforms stuffed with the latest progression and teaching tools. All Snowflex surfaces were replaced with a new and improved Skatelite surface. This new surface extends access to foam pit jumping progression to include BMX, mountain bike and skateboards. Those sticking to snow-sports will utilize Woodward’s exclusive new technology of park skis and snowboards. Renovations also include a small jump into a new foam pit allowing for the development of never-ever and beginner park skills and two new viewing areas giving spectators an up-close view of all the action. Guests can enjoy the Woodward Barn all summer long with a full line-up of weekend sessions starting at just $9 for a 2-hour skate/bike session. Sessions will be offered at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm on Saturdays and 2pm and 4pm on Sundays. Make the most of the new renovations with a Barn Season Pass, on sale now in limited quantities for only $249. The season pass grants access to the Barn all summer and winter long, through the end of the 2013/14 winter season.
Woodward at Copper summer campers won’t be the only ones enjoying the snow this summer with public sessions beginning June 22. The public is invited to take advantage of the Green Acres Jib-Park, Woodward’s newest addition with lift access from the Pitchfork chairlift. Guests can shred from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for just $25 a day every Saturday and select Sundays until mid-August, or as long as the snow lasts. Sessions can be pre-purchased now; tickets are available at the Woodward Cage located in Copper’s Center Village or online here.
