With Kimbo Sessions Canceled, Relive the Best of 2024 From HOTLAPS

Featured Image: Andrew Gayda, HOTLAPS

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Kimbo Sessions has been canceled for 2025. The news was announced in late April, with Boberg and the team citing “no snow” as the simple reason for the cancellation. The post on Instagram did mention that the 10 year anniversary will be held in full force next spring, so we have that to look forward to.

For now, it’s best not to wallow in what could have been, but rather celebrate what was! The fine folks at Monster Energy have dropped another heater in collaboration with HOTLAPS. We’ve seen several collaborations between Monster and Andrew Gayda, the man behind the camera here. They’ve all been phenomenal and featured some of the best riders in the game, with offerings from Woodward Park City, Stubai Glacier and other reaches of the Austrian Alps.

Each of these is filmed in the signature HOTLAPS style, with Gayda showing he has arguably the best follow cam skills around. We get an up close and aesthetically pleasing look at this mind blowing skiing that lets you appreciate how complex yet fluid the Kimbo course was in 2024. The skiers here are none other than Édouard Therrialt, Henrik Harlaut, Phil Casabon, Alex Hall and Colby Stevenson. You couldn’t craft a better lineup if you tried.

Enjoy this surreal offering while we wait for Kimbo Sessions 2026, and hopefully, this will fuel your own spring and summer shred wherever that might be!

From YouTube:

Each spring, when Klappen ski resort in Sweden closes its doors for the season, the keys to the park lift are handed over to a group of skiers that kick off the annual Kimbo Sessions. A week filled with seemingly endless golden light and HOTLAPS, all compiled together in an abundance of signature styles. Enjoy.
