Winter X Games Europe in Tignes, France continued tonight with the beginning of the superpipe competition. The Superpipe men and women took to the stunt ditch in Tignes, in the shadow of the French Alps. 

While there is little variation in how Superpipe's are built compared to slopestyle courses, we can say that this pipe is steep, fast and pretty near perfect. Both skiers and snowboarders shared practice today, which made the sled lap line fairly long, but the warm day today made for a pretty nice evening for all the competitors.

Tomorrow is another practice day—for both pipe and slope—as the competitors move towards the first comp day. For the superpipe skiers, that day is Thursday, which holds the men's superpipe qualifiers. Stay tuned for all the action from the third edition of the Winter X Games Europe from Tignes, France.
