Win $100,000 in the Teton Gravity Research CoLab video contest

This afternoon Teton Gravity Research announced The CoLab, an online video contest for skiers. Within minutes of the announcement the buzz within the skiing community was enormous. Why? Because the winner of the contest will walk away with $100,000 cash.

Here's how it works: Athletes and filmers will upload edits over the course of the 2012/13 season. The videos will ultimately be voted for by the public and narrowed to a pool of finalists. The finalists' videos will be judged by a panel of industry insiders, and ultimately one winner takes all.

"The Co-Lab is about giving people the freedom to express themselves and creating an open forum for collaboration between athletes, audience, and filmers," says Steve Jones, TGR co-founder. "The prize is a way to bring energy to this contest and to the community, as well as bring some of the best athletes—known and unknown—in the world into an open forum."

Surely, top pros and amateurs alike will be be gunning for the prize. A purse of this magnitude will undoubtedly inspire many creative minds to push boundaries and think outside of the box. On behalf of the Freeskier team, we're very much looking forward to seeing the submissions.

Official rules and regulations are yet to be released. Stay tuned to https://www.tetongravity.com/colab/ for the latest updates.
