Winter Jam is back y’all. And all I can say is: damn, the Swedes always know how to throw an all out event filled with great ski talents and amazing music. Not only will top competitors from around the world be in attendance, such as Jon Olsson, Colby West, and Simon Dumont, but they’ll also be competing in style as three of Sweden’s hottest DJs spin from sun up to sun down.
You should all be looking forward to the King of Style big air event. This year sponsor Peak Performance made it possible for unknown skiers to take a shot at qualifying simply by posting a 60 second segment of them on YouTube. Out of all the entrants, Tom Wallisch, Mike Clarke, Ian Cosco, and Gus Kenworthy were the ones chosen to compete against this year’s tough competition. Godspeed young soldiers!
The action sports events including freeskiing, snowboarding, and FMX begin at around 8:30 AM and go until 10 PM. But the fun definitely won’t stop there. LG is also throwing an after party that begins around 8 PM. DJ P-Funk will supply the sounds for the first part of the night, then snowboarder turned rapper Big-Lip aka Victorious will take over. Following that, chilled-out reggae will take it down a notch with Governor Andy and Res-i-dor. And lastly, DJ James Holm will bring the evening to a close (probably around 3 AM).
