What is the Road Trip Challenge?

Episode 2 of the Road Trip Challenge has been released, but I feel that a few of you out there might be a bit lost on this whole, RTC thing. Firstly, if you subscribe to our magazine, you’d have noticed this in the November issue:

“The Mission: Each team is given a packet of challenges. Everyone must meet at a diner on the outskirts of Boston at 9 AM on March 13. From there, each team must complete as many challenges as they can, meet at Okemo on the first weekend, go do more challenges, and conclude at Stratton the following weekend. At the end of the two weeks, whoever has the most points is the winner and gets a hand shake, an invite to next year’s contest and the insurmountable pride that can only come from being crowned RTC champion,”(Freeskier Magazine, November, v10i3).

If that doesn’t make you immediately clairvoyant to what the RTC is, let me break it down for you. Two teams (Team Salomon and Team Volkl) that consisted of two athletes, a photographer and a videographer, Road tripped around New England for two weeks, with a couple mandatory stops, completing as many scavenger hunt style challenges. Ranging from the mundane (pretzel a rail) to insane (get a Freeskier tattoo) to fun (make out with a racer in spandex), the two week adventure was caught on tape and film, for your viewing pleasure.

We will be releasing a total of 9 episodes, in addition to the feature that ran in our November issue this year. Be patient as these episodes are painstaking edited and take a bit of time, since we have a magazine to produce as well. We want to thank you for your continued support and we hope you all enjoy what we’ve done.
