[WATCH] Hedvig’s Way, Episode 19: The Godmother Couloir

Hedvig Wessel is a force to be reckoned with on skis. The Norwegian freeride skier first stomped on to the ski scene as an Olympic mogul skier at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Since then, the 26-year-old has gone on to compete on the Freeride World Tour, winning the first stop on the tour last season in Andorra with a massive backflip to kick off her run and ending up in second place, behind Elisabeth Gerritzen, in the overall standings.

On top of being one of the strongest competitors on the FWT, Hedvig also somehow finds the time to film for her YouTube series, Hedvig’s Way. For episode 19 of the series, Wessel and fellow Norwegian big-mountain skier Nikolai Schirmer board a small paddle boat in search of The Godmother Couloir. With a green light from the snowpack to send it, Wessel and Schirmer share an incredible experience within the fjords of their home country.
