A tight line is one thing. This ice cave squeeze is another. The Trew Gear squad recently visited the one and only Blanket Glacier Chalet , located outside of Revelstoke, British Columbia. One of the athletes in attendance was speed demon Dylan Dipentima . If you haven’t seen his fast and furious lines around Jackson, we highly recommend a watch.
But Dipentima wasn’t hunting big open faces on this mission. “After exploring the glacier for a while I spotted this line and decided to give it a go,” he recounted.
“I can’t say for sure if it was a first descent, but a couple of local guides in our group seemed to believe it was. [This line] wasn’t on any kind of list, we were just taking pictures and messing around in the opening of the glacier, and I found this line as the group was leaving… skiing an ice tube inside a glacier wasn’t really on my bucket list, but now that I’ve done it, I highly recommend adding it to yours!”
