The Denver Big Air presented by Sprint, is a two-day international ski and snowboard competition that will kick off Mile High Snow Week and the SnowSports Industries America Snow Show. Opening night, Tuesday, Jan. 25, will feature the Nature Valley Big Air Challenge, a skiing big air event showcasing some of the best male skiers in the world. Day two, Wednesday, Jan. 26, will feature the LG FIS World Cup Snowboard Big Air, a World Cup sanctioned event that boasters an international roster of the top male snowboarders from around the globe.
The FIS' selection of Denver as the first U.S. host city fits in its strategy of iconic locations for its signature ramp. Denver's passion for snow sports reigns supreme in the US and will provide the perfect backdrop for the inaugural event.
The ramp is a combination of steel truss and scaffolding that will stand 101 feet high, 300 feet long and 80 feet wide. The riders throw themselves off the huge jump performing their best tricks for World Cup ranking points, their share of the prize purse, and your viewing pleasure.
Denver Big Air is a unique opportunity to experience the talents of the world's best snow sports athletes in the downtown urban environment of Denver, Colorado.

Opening night, Tuesday, Jan. 25, of the inaugural Denver Big Air event will feature the Nature Valley Big Air Challenge that will match ski brand versus ski brand. Each ski company will send their best freestyle skiers up against the 101 foot tall and 80 foot wide scaffolding ramp.
Throwing themselves off the massive ramp, riders will perform their best tricks which will ultimately crown the best big air ski team. Denver Big Air is a unique opportunity to experience the World's best skiers performing in the urban downtown environment of Denver, Colorado.
The athletes representing the teams will put on an incredible duel, executing amazing aerial tricks that hold the highest levels of difficulty off the 102-foot high ramp that will be in Denver’s Civic Center Park. The Nature Valley Big Air Challenge's "Battle of the Brands" format will consist of five rounds of head-to-head competition to crown the champions.
A seeding and elimination round will set the stage for the evening event with quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. In addition, judges will award a "best trick" prize.
