Here is your chance to join the best edit team in the business. Freeskier is actively looking to hire two passionate, creative, hard-working skiers to work with us in Niwot, CO, just outside of Boulder.

This is a small, high-energy, creative environment. You must be motivated by tight deadlines, the creative process and a strong commitment to working as a team. But most of all, you must love skiing.

Job 1: Edit Position

All levels of experience are welcome to apply for our open edit position to write stories, edit, help manage, plan and execute on content both online and for the magazine. We will build the job around the hire, so if the above describes you, apply today.

Job requirements:

– In-depth knowledge of skiing a must, especially big-mountain, backcountry and park/pipe
– BA degree in journalism preferred but not required
– Proven skills and experience in newswriting and copy editing
– Please provide published writing samples

Compensation:

Dependent on experience.

Job 2: Video Production

We are also looking for a full-time, year-round filmer, producer, editor. This person will be responsible for creating high-quality video content in conjunction with our editors including athlete profiles, event coverage, product reviews and resort spotlights, among other things. Person must be confident in all stages of video production, from the filming to online distribution.

Job requirements:

– In-depth knowledge of skiing a must, especially big-mountain, backcountry and park/pipe
– Proven skills and experience in filming, editing, motion graphics and online distribution
– Please provide demo reel or links to recent edits

Dependent on experience.
