Völkl has signed multi-year agreements with skiers Matt Margetts, Nick Goepper and Ian McIntosh.
“We finally sealed the deal,” said Margetts, “I’m very excited to be supported by a company that believes in me and my potential. I’m really stoked on the way the skis perform and I am so excited to start this new chapter in my ski career. It is going to be a busy contest season and hopefully you’ll see me on the podium.” Margetts is an X Games halfpipe competitor with his eye on the 2014 Winter Olympics.

“I’m more than excited to be a part of the Völkl family through the upcoming Winter Olympics,” said Goepper, “The technology, camaraderie, and support I receive is awesome. I’m stoked to be apart of a brand that is a leader in the park skiing movement.” The 18-year-old Goepper tasted Dew Tour gold and X Games silver last season, and will surely be a force to be reckoned with this upcoming season on the slopestyle front.
Big-mountain ripper Ian McIntosh, the 2011 Powder Magazine Video Awards winner, sat out last season on account of serious injuries. McIntosh is now healthy and ready to rip.
“I’m really stoked with our team,” said Chris Adams, Marker-Völkl’s team manager. “We have the most well-rounded team out there. We have great big-mountains skiers, great video skiers, a new top shelf halfpipe skier and the #2 slopestyle skier in the world. Most importantly, they are all great guys and make my job awesome.”
Ian, Nick and Matt join Ahmet Dadali, Dylan Hood, Dash Longe, Dan Marion, Matt Philippi, and Ty Peterson on the Marker-Völkl roster. More information on the Völkl team can be seen at volkl.com. Volkl is due to make a separate announcement for its women’s team soon.
