Vancouver, BC, October 21st, 2009 – Voleurz, a Vancouver-based lifestyle clothing brand, will be screening their snowboard/skateboard/ski film Voleurz Outdoor Graduation at Studio 538 in downtown Vancouver this Saturday night at 9pm.
Voleurz Outdoor Graduation takes a much-needed departure from the more serious extreme sports films that have come to define the genre. The focus of the film is one that followers of Voleurz have come to know and love: fun and tomfoolery with your friends, and not taking things too seriously.
Voleurz Outdoor Graduation stars some of Canada’s finest freestyle skiers, snowboarders and skateboarders including:
Max Hill (ON), Justin VDP (ON), TJ Schiller (BC), Braden Dean (BC), Cam Schuster (BC), Jesmond Dubeau (ON), Shayne Zwickel (BC), Jeff Boake (BC), Warren Williams (AB), Ian Cosco (AB), Matt Margetts (BC), Josh Stack (BC), Corey Klim (BC), Joe Schuster (BC), Riley Leboe (BC), Colby James West (USA), Andrew Jackson (BC), Jan, Schuster (BC), Nick Moore (BC), Josh Bibby (BC), Tyler Holm (BC), Colston JVB (BC), Paul Welters (BC), Nathan Ramler (BC), Trevan Salmon (BC), Scott Sych (AB), Barry Hartman (BC), Peter Olenick (USA), and Chris Turpin (BC).
Voleurz Outdoor Graduation was shot on location at Whistler/Blackcomb, Revelstoke, Vernon, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Clearwater, Idaho, Sweden, and Norway. The producers partnered with Whistler/Blackcomb to create private features, including a jump built in close proximity of the new Peak-to-Peak gondola.
Shortly after the Vancouver showing, the Voleurz family will be departing on their premiere tour, screening the film in Penticton, Kelowna, Vernon, Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, Fernie, Revelstoke, Victoria and Whistler.
Voleurz Outdoor Graduation, Voleurz’s fifth feature film, takes a unique approach by embracing the power of the Internet as a distribution model. The video will be available in High Definition for free to anyone who has an Internet connection.
DIRECTORS NOTE:
One of the most rewarding aspects of making these films is having the opportunity to hang out with a group of talented, not to mention amazingly goofy and creative people. I never quite know what to expect and am always impressed. This winter was spontaneous. No plans were made or trips organized, we just went wherever the snow was best. We traveled where we wanted, when we wanted, and laughed our way around the globe for 13 months.
