Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., January 7, 2010 – Vampire Weekend, Colombia University grads turned indie-rockers, will headline this year’s Spring Jam at the CORE Party, a free concert in downtown Aspen, at the cross streets of Galena Avenue and Cooper Street on Saturday, March 20 at 8 p.m.

Vampire Weekend, comprised of Ezra Koenig, Chris Baio, Rostam Batmanglij and Chris Tomson, recently released their second album and are known for their infectious hit songs “A-Punk” and “Cousins.”

“Core Party provides great vibrancy for downtown Aspen in March and Vampire Weekend is an extremely popular emerging act that should be a huge hit with our community and our destination guests,” says John Rigney, Aspen Skiing Company VP of Sales and Event Marketing.

The CORE Party was originally scheduled the night before, so please note that KickAspen will now commence the 10th Annual Bud Light Spring Jam on Friday, March 19 at the base of Aspen Mountain.

The tenth annual Bud Light Spring Jam, the premier spring festival in the Rocky Mountains, will bring two weekends of competitions, downtown concerts and parties. The festival kicks off on March 19 with the eleventh annual KickAspen Big Air, where skiers and snowboarders compete under the lights at the base of Aspen Mountain. Then the next night is the CORE Party concert in downtown Aspen. A terrain park Boot Camp, March 20, 21, 27 & 28, offers both adults and kids instruction on how to slide a box or hit a rail in a mini-park on Snowmass. There will be two Bud Light Hi-Fi concerts throughout the event and the third annual Schneetag and Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls will once again join the Spring Jam lineup.
