Two Plank Teams Up With Liberty To Ride

The Liberty To Ride program is excited to announce the addition of Two Plank Productions as a sponsor of this innovative opportunity for up-and-coming big-mountain athletes. The program, which offers sponsorships from Liberty Skis and Scott to the top top male and female rookies of the year who compete at the Crested Butte Extremes, the Colorado Freeride Championships and Taos’ New Mexico Extreme Freeride Championships, now has another major incentive for athletes. The rookies of the year will now have the chance film with Two Plank Productions for their two upcoming new films in the fall of 08.”

“We are very excited to be part of the Liberty to Ride program,” says Two Plank’s Corey Tibljas. “It’s a great opportunity for the next generation of big-mountain athletes and a great way for us to get some new faces and top talent in front of our cameras.”

In addition to the chance to appear in a Two Plank Production film, the winning athletes will score sponsorships from Scott and Liberty Skis. The program is designed to assist up-and-coming athletes with reaching their goals and living the dream of a sponsored, professional skier. Media exposure, through outlets such as Two Plank Productions is a key component of any athlete’s success, and, for young athletes, can often be the hardest part of the sponsorship process.

“Filming with established companies is huge opportunity, even for established pros,” says Tibljas. “The Liberty To Ride program helps fast-track the process for the winners, and we are happy to help be part of making dreams come true.”

The winners of the Liberty to Ride sponsorship will be determined by competition results at Crested Butte, Snowmass and Taos. The points system used by the International Freeskier’s Association (IFSA) will be used to determine the highest overall male and female finishers from the three events. Eligible athletes must be rookies (competing in their first big-mountain competitions) and not holding formal sponsorship with any other manufacturer.
