Three ski photos are up for 2019 X Games gold in action sports photography

Each month, the folks at XGames.com aggregate 10 incredible action sports photos and feature them in the “Zoom” gallery. Biannually, X Games turns that gallery into a fan-voted contest where the winner receives an X Games gold medal in action sports photography and $10,000. For 2019, X Games chose six photos, three of which feature skiers and two of which have been printed in the hallowed pages of FREESKIER magazine.

Adam Barker’s incredible shot of Julian Carr sending a gargantuan front flip at Brighton, Utah, was featured in FREESKIER’s 20th Anniversary Issue, Volume 20.4, in a department called “Mandatory Huck.”

Oskar Enander’s snap of Santiago Guzman threading the needle in an Engelberg, Switzerland, ice cave appears in Volume 21.4, The Destination Issue, which is on newsstands, now.

The third ski image, just as worthy of your consideration, is of Knut-Hendrik Lajord, as shot by Vegard Aasen, who’s photos have also appeared in the pages of FREESKIER.
