Music and skiing go together like Aspen and champagne. Whether it’s the tunes streaming through your headphones on the hill or the local band at your favorite après bar, there’s usually a soundtrack to an epic ski day. To end the ski season on a high note, Aspen Snowmass is hosting The String Cheese Incident and Umphrey’s McGee for closing weekend of Buttermilk Mountain April 5-7, 2019.

The Après, promoted in collaboration with Belly Up–Aspen’s most infamous music venue, is an all-new, three-day music and mountain festival featuring two incredible on-snow music acts at the base of Buttermilk Mountain. After a day of spring shredding, Umphrey’s McGee will hit the stage at 4 o’clock on Friday, April 5, followed by back-to-back nights with The String Cheese Incident on Saturday and Sunday.

“We have a long history of incorporating live music into our events and are thrilled to unveil The Après, which will be built around performances by bands that love skiing and riding in the mountains,” says Deric Gunshor, director of event development at Aspen Snowmass. “There’s no better place to host this event than Buttermilk Mountain where we recently hosted X Games and the stage will be set for an incredible experience of skiing, riding and fun at The Après.”

The festival will take place snow or shine and the party will flow late into the evening with extended shows from both bands at Belly Up at the base of Aspen Mountain. Three-day music passes along with lift ticket, lodging and/or airfare packages are on sale now. To get your tickets and for more information about the festival, click here.
