The 10th annual KickAspen Big Air took place under the lights at the base of Aspen Mountain Saturday, March 21, with forty competitors entertaining the crowd on a 65 foot jump.
Final results are as follows:
Ski:
1st – Charlie Lasser from Aspen, Colo. – $2,000
2nd – Matt Walker, Aspen/Snowmass Athlete, from Aspen, Colo. – $1,000
3rd – Nate Berkel, Aspen/Snowmass Athlete, from Snowmass, Colo. – $500
Snowboard:
1st – Eric Willet from Breckenridge, Colo. – $2,000
2nd – Brent Todd, Southington, Conn. – $1,000
3rd – Chris Chance, Breckenridge, Colo. – $500
The Inaugural Fallen Friends event also took place today, Saturday, March 21, at Aspen Highlands.
The event honored fallen friends over the past few years and invited teams of two to five to compete in a course of jumps, bumps and park features on Scarlett’s Run at Aspen Highlands. Nearly $3,500 was raised from competitors and the crowd combined with all proceeds benefiting an Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club (AVSC) scholarship fund.

2nd – Forever Under Par with Zak Ferraris, Michael Emerson, Joey Stokes, Teddy Karlinski and Eric Angus
3rd – The Servers with athletes Jonathan Love, Justin Addison, Hans Erickson, Chris Carmichael and Adam Mozinski
Best Bumps – Where’s Waldo with Ben Westfeldt, Patrick Westfeldt, Sean French, Michael Olenick and Jake Largess
Best New School – Neon! with athletes Torin Wallace, Cyrus Sadeghian, Alex Fierara and Cole Pates
Best Old School – Buddeez with Blake Axelson, Tristan Rohrbaugh, Madison Bailey and Zach Mobilian
