Tanner Hall’s The Massive World Premiere Hits Boulder

Tanner Hall’s The Massive World Premiere Hits Boulder

We’re officially into ski movie season! Last night Tanner Hall premiered his new film, The Massive, at the Fox Theater in Boulder, CO. Despite a distinct change in location, from last year’s Santa Monica, Red Bull HQ premiere, the premiere drew hordes of fans to the Hill to check out what Tanner’s season was all about. The movie had to be started a little late, as there were so many people itching to buy tickets and cram the already packed house.

Dj Shares and DJ Uplifter filled in for the last minute absence of Cali P, dropping beats for the whole house. Red Bull Girls threw out Massive and Armada product to the crowd, a movie premiere must. After a few short words from Tanner, the movie got underway.

Set to a blazing hot Reggae soundtrack that would make Jah smile, The Massive did not disappoint. The action was non-stop. Tanner showed he is the most versatile skier around by slaying pipe in Copper, shredding the white room in BC and mach-ing in AK. Youngster Sean Pettit slayed BC and performed one of the gnarlier hand drags ever seen. Older brother Callum, not to be outdone, showcased his aggressive skiing to the world, and everyone should take note. Ian McIntosh showed why he is one of the best up-and-coming big mountain skiers in the biz.

Other highlights included Sammy Carlson’s first trip to Retallack, Dana Flahr making AK look easy, Frank Raymond on an urban mission, Sean Field and Tanner’s Doubles on the Massive hip in Mount Hood, and Karl the Gnarl being the most excited person on skiing, ever.

The crowd oohed and aahed throughout, staying well through the credits, as a tribute to Mikey P, one of Tanner’s good friends, played on screen. Posters were handed out, swag was taken home, and people looked stoked as they exited The Massive world premiere.
