We launched our Sponsor Me! video section last year in an effort to help aspiring pro skiers get noticed. Team Managers often peruse this section looking for the next big talent.
A few months ago we teamed up with Mountain Hardwear to stoke out one Sponsor Me! video uploader. Mountain Hardwear put together a prize pack worth well over $1,000, and the product would be awarded to the best video uploaded to the Sponsor Me! section, tagged "Mountain Hardwear Contest." We received nearly forty entires, and ever since the December 15 deadline we've been narrowing down the submissions in search of a worthy victor.
This week, we're pleased to announced we've picked a winner. Showcasing tremendous talent in the southwestern Montana backcountry, Steven Popovich takes the cake. Popovich walks away with the following Mountain Hardwear gear:

The judging was conducted by staff here at Freeskier and also at Mountain Hardwear. The videos were rated on overall impression, technical ability, style, professionalism and quality of edit.
