SNOCRU launches updated app offering improved user experience

There used to be those who counted their ski days and those who didn’t. Knowing exactly how fast you skied, how many vertical feet you logged or how many calories you burned while skiing used to be impossible. But, the future is now, and the updated SNOCRU 4.0 app is here to provide even more tools for you to track your days out on the slopes.

In its latest iteration, SNOCRU offers animated tracking, individual run statistics, expanded sharing options, Apple HealthKit integration, a completely redesigned interface and more. Heat mapping is one of these new, unique features, allowing users to see a visual representation of where on the mountain they are skiing the fastest. The release is the app’s biggest software overhaul to-date, and the company’s founder and CEO, Ed Lewis, is excited to share new a user experience and outstanding overall improvements with SNOCRU members.

“Over the last six years we’ve had a lot of time to build new cutting edge features and functionality into SNOCRU, with that came a rather heavy and somewhat uneasy app to understand. The new SNOCRU 4.0 release makes it easier for any user to understand how to ski with SNOCRU in their pocket. I can’t wait for skiers to enjoy the new app experience as well as our latest features,” said Lewis in a recent press release. “We went all-out on this latest app release, determined to simplify such a robust app. We’ve made some big changes and think users will be stoked with the new design and functionality.”

As well as its all-new features, SNOCRU continues to provide the same award-winning social sharing and analytic tools that helped the company garner its great reputation. “Near Me” shows locations of other users at the same resort; snow reports are available for all major mountains; online leaderboards show which users have the top overall speed, vertical feet skied, et cetera; and, direct uploading to social media sites, including SNOCRU’s app-based forum, allow for real-time sharing with friends and family.

Download the free app today via Apple’s App Store or Google Play and (we recommend) subscribing to a Season Pass for just $9.99 to get an ad-free and enhanced user experience. Now, get out there and start tracking!
