This afternoon, female pipe dominator, Sarah Burke, has won her first event on the year at the Winter Dew Tour. Today marked the first ski women’s exhibition for the Winter Dew Tour, which Burke won in typical fashion, by 10 points.

Strong gusts of wind and spotty sunshine reigned over the 5-women, 2-run, judged exhibition. Jen Hudak as usual brought her a-game big airs, while Jess Cumming brought her smooth style and bag of tricks to the table to take the 2nd and 3rd spots, respectively. Rosalind Groenewoud and Dania Assaly both threw down 900s, but unfortunately went down while putting the landing gear down. But in the end it was Sarah’s monster (get it?) airs and stomped landings that took home the cash and trophy.
No word yet on who the 5 women that will be invited to the Mt. Snow stop of the Dew Tour. But congratulations to the women making history and for all their efforts out there today.
