Salomon’s Quality Ski Time Film Tour kicks off the 22-23 season

Back by popular demand, the Quality Ski Time Film Tour kicks off in Salt Lake City on October 5th with an all-new collection of films. With 18 stops across North America during the fall, the Quality Ski Time Film Tour has a little something for every skier, young and old, seasoned or new—each film is packed with inspirational content, sure to make you dust off your boots and pull the planks out of the back of the garage to gear up the upcoming La Niña winter.

Returning to the role of emcee and resident hype man for the tour will be Salomon athlete Drew Peterson. “Year one of the Quality Ski Time Film Tour was an amazing opportunity to connect with skiers all over North America,” says Peterson. “We’re psyched to do it again, rolling into year two with more locations and more films. My favorite part of the tour is connecting with so many skiers in person. In this day and age, so much of our interaction is online, but being face-to-face offers an opportunity to share a higher level of stoke and passion.”

Each stop of the tour provides an opportunity to meet the athletes and win some sweet SWAG from Salomon, Hestra, YETI, POW and OnX Backcountry. Salomon will be donating a portion of each ticket sold to Protect Our Winters, in support of their sedulous efforts to fight climate change and protect the mountains for future generations to enjoy. FEEL REAL

Blank Collective Films does it again with their eighth feature-length film—Feel Real. Full of action, adventure and friendship, Feel Real takes us out into the backcountry with an impressive lineup of skiers as they scout, study and shred their way through the mountains, all the while bantering back and forth as age-old ski buddies do. “It’s been said, since time immemorial, that one of the best courses of action in life is to live in the moment,” reads the description on Blank’s YouTube page. “From embracing vulnerability, to engaging in exploration, opening your eyes and ears, and never taking oneself too seriously, Feel Real represents the past and present moments, memories and friendships that have shaped The Blank Collective into the skiers they are today.”

The FIFTY

Cody Townsend’s pursuit of climbing and skiing The FIFTY classic ski descents of North America continues with 13 new episodes dropping this winter. One of the most inspiring and entertaining video projects to emerge in the ski world in recent years, Cody’s pursuits are equally intriguing for backcountry skiers and on-lookers, alike. While many people have skied these classic descents over the years, Cody and his crew are the first to attempt to climb and ski all of them collectively. Earlier this spring, The FIFTY Instagram teased the upcoming season of the web series: “It will be the sexiest advertisement for Ski Mountaineering we could create. Lots of pow, lots of vert and plenty of suffering. We’re gonna have laughs, scares, frustrations and ask some big questions about Ski Mountaineering.” Catch exclusive sneak peeks into his most recent adventures on the tour before they go live online this season.

Starring: Cody Townsend, Bjarne Salen

TRACING INFLUENCE

Whether it’s learning a new trick, navigating through a recovery or re-connecting with your goals, mentorships are one of the most influential relationships that allow skiers to develop the backbone it takes to turn a hobby into a career. In “Tracing Influence,” we’ll follow the journey of six professional skiers and the mentors that helped shape them into the athletes they are today.

Starring: Alexi Godbout, Mali Noyes, Emma Patterson, Robert Pallin Aaring, Connor Ryan, Cody Townsend

Follow along with this group of wild youngins on their resort tour from Jackson Hole, WY to Revelstoke, B.C. as they maneuver their way through the professional world of Salomon’s JR Mountain Collective Ski Team. STEPPING OUT

Follow three brave and ambitious women as they set out to the peaks of the Alaska Range to redefine success in the backcountry. “Serving as their own guides, they were excited to arrive on the glacier and were quickly humbled by the complex structure of the terrain,” reads the movie description. “In a new setting, they reimagine what success looks like beyond the familiar expectations of adventure athletes. The mission? Thrive in new roles and progress as a team to test their limits.” Produced by TopTop Studio, “Stepping Out” illustrates how relying on yourself as a guide not only pushes your limits as a skier, but also as a leader in the ski community.

Staring: Lani Bruntz, Mali Noyes and Maddie Crowell

Directors: Lani Bruntz, Mali Noyes

Co-Director/Director of Photography: Nicholas Kalisz
