Salomon Introduces the BBR Ski

First the Rocker 2, now the BBR. It’s fair to say that Salomon has their thinking caps on this season. Just weeks after the release of the Salomon Rocker 2, the mountain sports company is introducing the BBR. Designed by Bertrand Krafft, (aka: BeBeR) the ski is inspired by the spontaneity and freedom of action found in water sports, the BBR ski offers the liberty to carve, cruise, float and play.

That being said, if you are a really good water skier this ski will pretty much make you a pro. The ski features a unique “V” shaped design and oversized tip and rocker shape allowing it to float in powder and adapt to uneven terrain smoothly and predictably. You may also ask what is with the funky shape? With a narrow waist and pintail, a short radius and short effective edge on-piste, it provides the ski the ability to grip harder snow and also carve.

“With BBR it’s all about having fun,” says Jean-Yves Couput, Salomon Global Brand Manager. “This is the ski that helps get you that day on the mountain you’ll never forget.  The freedom and adventure of your best days are exemplified in this revolutionary innovation.”

Don’t believe Mr. Couput. Try it yourself. Salomon is coming to a mountain near you and want’s to give you a chance to try it out. Visit www.salomon.com for more info. Also, the ski will officially be released at SIA this January.
