RESULTS: HELLY HANSEN BATTLE IN THE BOWLS & FALLEN FRIENDS
Last Weekend of Spring Jam Packed with Events & Plenty of Powder

Aspen/Snowmass, Colo., March 28, 2011 – The final weekend of Spring Jam was packed with concerts, on-mountain events and plenty of powder. In fact, a foot and a half of powder has fallen in Aspen/Snowmass since Friday night.

PEPPER kicked off all the action on Friday night as the snow started to fall. A lively crowd rocked along to the island jams of PEPPER as they played under the lights at the base of AspenMountain.

Fallen Friends Results
Under bluebird skies, locals came out to compete in the 3rd annual Fallen Friends event at Aspen Highlands on Saturday, March 26 to honor fellow skiers and riders that have been lost in recent years. Teams of two to five to competed in a course of jumps, bumps and park features on Scarlett’s Run at Aspen Highlands, while dressing in themed costumes. Over $4,000 was raised and will be donated to the Aspen Valley Ski & Snowboard Club’s scholarship foundation.

1st – OJC B-Ballerzzz featuring Brandon Roughbaugh, Madison Bailey, Wylie Adams and Blake Axelson.
2nd– Flying Tomatoes featuring Morris Hogan, Mike Hogan, Charlie Lasser, Kyle, Chase Delminure and Oliver Bacharach.
3rd – Moammar Galdafi and his Amazonian Bodyguards take a ski trip featuring Jake O'Connor, David Hach, Sam Ferguson, Ruben Sadowsky and David Kamataris.

Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls Results
The 4th Annual Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls put teams of two to the test as they raced to complete the course designed by Chris Davenport, covering terrain on all of the bowls at Aspen Highlands. Flaik GPS devices tracked the athletes as they charged across the mountain.

Competitive Ski:
1st Place
: Highlands Patrol featuring Dan Goddard & Jules Campbell with a time of 3:21:59 (three hours, twenty-one minutes and 59 seconds) Prize: $700

2nd Place
: Aspen Highlands Air Force featuring Jake Sakson & Kevin Frazier, 3:24:24. Prize: $400

3rd Place
: Prize: Thank You Sir May I Have Another featuring Conor Flynn & Duncan Delano, 3:37:50. Prize: $200

Competitive Snowboard:
1st Place
: Rad Shred Zone 5 featuring Travis McLain & Zach Ferrara, 3:29:29. Prize: $500

2nd Place
: Das Boot featuring Jonathon Skloven-Gill and Andy Stokes, 3:32:29. Prize: $300

3rd Place
: Stay Tuned Ski Rentals featuring Greg Ricker & Kyle Vonderhorst, 3:42:12 Prize: $100

Although Spring Jam has come to an end, plenty of spring events still remain in Aspen/Snowmass. Red Bull Buttercup takes place at Buttermilk this Sunday, April 3 at 1 p.m. For more info visit www.aspensnowmass.com/buttercup.
