"What's your favorite place to ski?"

It's a question every skier gets, and gets often. When you make your recommendation, you're putting your reputation on the line. You're helping your friend decide where to spend hard-earned money and time. The decision is crucial. This year, we threw out hard facts and scoring systems in exchange for a lengthy (and heated) discussion about where we, collectively, would recommend a friend go on vacation. The results of that discussion are listed here, as the best twelve resorts in North America. They are our recommendation to you, friends. So start at number one and work your way down. If you haven't been to each of these places by the time you're walking with a cane, you're seriously blowing it.
