Relive the 2014 Park Ski Test at Breckenridge, watch the new highlight video

April 8-12, Freeskier invaded Breckenridge, CO for its 2014 Park Ski Test. In our five days on the hill, we tested hundreds of 2014 park skis between the Freeway and Park Lane Terrain Parks, and enjoyed plenty of hearty fun in our off-time. Today, we present a highlight video showcasing the action.

In order to effectively and efficiently test skis, our ski testers utilized our new web-based ski test app—first introduced at our 2014 All-Mountain Ski Test in Aspen—to rank the skis on a scale of 1-5 in categories including versatility, carving, playfulness, stability, swing weight and overall stoke. Testers also fill out comments for each ski they strap into. The collective scores and feedback serve as the basis for selection of our Editor’s Picks in the upcoming Buyer’s Guide.

“I love seeing what the various companies are trying differently from year to year,” said longtime Freeskier ski tester, Grant Savidge. “What works, what doesn’t work… and seeing what [all the other testers] are excited about. It’s always fun to see the differences of opinion.”
