After a hiatus in 2018, Red Bull PlayStreets—a popular urban slopestyle ski competition—will return to Bad Gastein, Austria, on February 15, 2019. Upwards of 20 freeskiers from across the world will gather at the resort, which will be transformed into a jib-paradise beneath its historic skyline, to push the limits of one of skiing’s most creative disciplines.

Swedish star Jesper Tjäder will return to defend his 2017 PlayStreets title, while equally talented skiers like David Wise (USA), Elias Ambühl (SUI), Andri Ragettli (SUI) and Dennis Ranalter (AUT) will all battle to steal the throne.

“For me the biggest challenge is in continually giving the athletes something they have never seen before,” says Event Organizer Heli Putz. “It makes me proud to see that the best in the world are taking on the challenge to try to outdo themselves again at the event and show the skiing world just what is possible on two skis.”

The contest will air live on Red Bull TV at 20:00 CET (that’s 12:00 p.m. MST) on February 15. For more info, click here.
