Next weekend is a big one at The Canyons as their annual Spring Gruv festival unleashes in force on March 27th and 28th with its two signature events. The Pond Skim kicks off the action on Saturday followed by a free concert by Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Check out this Pond Skim vid from 2008….it’s a big ole party and looks like a ton of fun!
The Pond Skim is just a warm-up for the next day’s Canis Lupus Challenge – one of the best banked slaloms around. The course is a mile long natural halfpipe with tons of features and opportunities to put the hammer down ‘high risk/high reward’ style. After getting rowdy, ease up with a free Fishbone show at the base.
