pole plants on take-off

Do You Pole Plant When You take-off
I"™ ve noticed in watching a lot of video of the pros that some people pole plant at the lip of the jump before spinning, and some don"™t. When i used to be a mogul coach we always talked about 4 point takeoff and 4point landing, (i"™m sure Pep and Leskinen remember). I think it"™s a good timing device, especially for beginning skiers who tend to start the spin way early, and not wait until their off the jump. Candide uses the pole plant everywhere even in the pipe. I bring this up everytime someone gives me some sh** about my take off. I am interested to hear what some of you have to say.
