WHAT ARE THE BEST PILLOW LINES YOU’VE SEEN SOMEONE ELSE SKI, EITHER ON VIDEO OR IN PERSON? Tanner Hall’s pillows in Believe are some of my favorite in a video. Also skiing and filming with Adam Delorme the last few years, I’ve seen some video-game shit.

WHY IS THIS AMONG THE BEST PILLOW ZONES IN NORTH AMERICA? Pillows in British Columbia, in my mind, are the best because of the enormous amount of snowfall the mountains get. The terrain out there is insane, cut blocks turn into football-field-sized pillow fields and the boulder gardens turn into cloud-sized pillows. With a snowmobile your options are limitless.

WHAT TIME OF YEAR IS BEST FOR SHREDDING PILLOW LINES? It’s all about knowing your local terrain. There are places I know that will be great in December, but come the end of January those zones are buried, and I move on to the next zone that’s just filled in. Ultimately it depends on the snow season. I skied pillows in mid-May last season in Colorado.

ANY OTHER PILLOW ZONES THAT YOU LOVE? The deepest powder and pillows I’ve ever skied were in Japan. If you’re an addict for powder and pillows, I suggest making a trip to Japan this season.
