WHAT MAKES PILLOWS FUN TO SKI? The challenge. You can look at them all you want, and see the perfect line, but as soon as you get up there it’s a whole different ball game. What looks like the perfect line will be a 15-foot pillow to flats to a 20-foot pillow to a hole between rock and the pillow.
WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO SKI PILLOWS? It reminds me of skiing a super wacked out bump line back in the day, except now the bumps are 10 times bigger and the consequences a little higher.
ANYONE YOU LOOK UP TO AS A PILLOW SKIER? Tanner Hall still blows me away with his lines from Mica Heli a few years back.
ANY OTHER PILLOW ZONES THAT YOU LOVE? Haines has some of the best I’ve ever seen, and quite possibly the gnarliest. They are quite often overlooked because of all the other radness around them.
