Spread the good word, three of the Colorado giants open Friday. [https://keystone.snow.com Keystone], [https://breckenridge.snow.com Breckenridge] and [https://www.coppercolorado.com Copper] are turning on the lifts for the first time this season, and Coloradans can look forward to a handful of runs, a smattering of rails and boxes and six inches of fresh snow.

[https://breckenridge.snow.com Breckenridge] will open for the season at 9 a.m. Friday morning with two runs and one lift. Breck intends to start out with just the Springmeier and Tygves runs on Peak 8.

The resort will also kick of winter with events at the base, including the traditional free pancake breakfast Friday morning and the Laughs and Lifts Comedy Festival the rest of the day.

Downtown Breckenridge is coated in snow, expect more to fall soon!

Lifts will be open starting Friday morning at [https://keystone.snow.com Keystone] as well. Skiers should expect standard early season scene and possibly some jib features. Keystone’s own Mike Clarke had this to say about opening day, “Keystone opening day represents the start of my winter vacation! Time to put the books down and go play in A51, one of the best parks to ride in the US.”

As for [https://www.coppercolorado.com Copper], skiers can look forward to a grand opening on Friday morning too. Copper plans on having the Eagle Jib Park open, which boasts 10 rails, boxes and bonks. The Main Vein Trail will be open along with the American Eagle lift. Starting Saturday the Excelerator chair will be open Giving skiers access Ptarmigan Trail.

The guns are blaring at Copper, piling it up for opening day!
