Good news folks, the 2008-2009 season is now underway here in Colorado. A-Basin and Loveland both spun chairs at 8:30 this morning welcoming hundreds of eager skiers for their first taste of winter since the season ended in June.

Loveland Opening Day
Loveland apparently had the best opening day experience around. Little or no lift lines, ample coverage on the trail and you hardly had to share the mountain with anyone else!
The news trucks were there bright and early to get the story.
John Spriggs showed up and hit the early season steel.
Thanks to modern snowmaking we’re not riding on a ribbon of death, rather top to bottom, trail edge to edge coverage.
