The North American Open Is Upon Us

The North American Open Is Upon Us

This morning, BC’s Josh Bibby and Breckenridge local Henrik Lampert rolled up to the base at Peak 8 in breckenridge to become two of the first athletes to register for the North American Open. This marks the opening day for the event craeted by Jon Olsson and Simon Dumont in conjunction with the rEvolutions Opens Freeski Tour and Paul Mitchell. Breckenridge is playing host to four days of non-stop slopestyle and halfpipe action, drawing large numbers of amateur and pro athletes alike, with the goal of creating a unique, open event for years to come.

With an entirely new judging format where skiers will jam on the course all day and be hand-picked by Jon, Simon and Tom Dolezel, this is sure to be the most fun Open event ever… even if you don’t qualify.
