Colorado turned out for Arapahoe Basin’s opening day on Sunday, October 29

Arapahoe Basin officially claims the title of being the first lift-served ski area to open in Colorado for 2023-24, and Colorado skiers and riders were not about to miss out on the fun. Good to see the stoke is alive and well on the Front Range.

Keystone Resort is up and running for the 2023-24 season

Not far behind Arapahoe Basin, Keystone Resort kicked on the gondola on Wednesday, November 1. Early season conditions still exist, be smart out there.

Minnesota is getting in on the opening-day action

Two Minnesota ski areas are already open for the season, Andes Tower Hills opened on Saturday, October 28, and Wild Mountain opened top-to-bottom on Monday, October 30. Dare we say winter is here to stay?

Solitude announces new parking reservation system for upcoming season

Solitude just announced a new parking reservation system, and the comments are…mixed. For cars with 4 or more people, parking will always be free, but depending on the day and time, you could be paying up to $35 to park. You can also opt-in for the $400 season parking pass, but that doesn’t guarantee you a spot, you still gotta get on the app and reserve.

Palisades Tahoe is also implementing a parking reservation system this year

And again, the feelings about it are very mixed. Reservations will be required for Saturdays, Sundays and select holidays starting December 2, and reservations open up on Tuesday for the upcoming weekend.
