The third stop of the Freeride World Tour rocked Golden, British Columbia
While much of Canada has seen below average snow falls this year, the faucet was turned on in advance this past week, and the riders were all the more thankful for it. French phenom Megane Betend and Max Hitzig topped the podium thanks to Megane’s clean triple cliff drop and Max’s practically flawless GIGANTIC backflip off the pyramid feature lower down on the face. Doubling down on its 2023-24 offerings, Nordica also unveils a new ski to the brand’s freeride-centric Unleashed lineup. The widest plank in the family, the 114 boasts the same construction as the rest of the line with even deeper rocker and more splay to improve flotation in powder and less metal to make it more maneuverable in the deep.
