Birk Irving, Rachael Karker prevail in the pipe at Toyota U.S. Grand Prix

It was Birk Irving and Canadian Rachael Karker who took the top spots on Saturday for the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix. It was a stacked competition on both sides with Canadians Brandon MacKay taking second and Noah Bowman third on the men’s side and on the women’s side of things Amy Fraser from Canada claimed second and Estonia’s Kelly Sildaru took third.

Megan Oldham, Birk Ruud claim top spots at the VISA Big Air presented by Toyota

On the VISA Big Air side of the weekend it was Canadian Megan Oldham and Norway’s Birk Ruud who took home the gold. Swiss skier Mathilde Gremaud took second for the big air women and Oldham’s teammate Oliva Asselin rounded out the podium. For the men, it was France’s Timothe Sivignon in second and Ruud’s teammate Sebastian Schjerve in third.

Supply chain issues slow down Colorado chairlifts

Of the 60 planned new and updated lifts across North America for the 2022-23 season, only about 35 of them have been completed due to supply chain issues with both Poma and Doppelmayr. According to the Colorado Sun, the supply chain challenges are stemming from the global pandemic-related shutdown of manufacturing in March 2020.
