New College Pass Good at Tahoe’s Alpine Meadows, Kirkwood, Homewood – starts at $199

Alpine Meadows, Kirkwood, and Homewood Mountain Resorts have teamed to offer the Triple Threat season pass exclusively to college students during winter 2011-2012. 

Students can choose the $199 Limited Triple Threat, which is valid Monday through Friday*; or the $329 Unlimited Triple Threat pass, which is valid daily*.  Early-purchase prices are available through December 13, 2011. 

“The Triple Threat pass offers access to three of Tahoe’s best resorts,” said Deanna Gescheider, vice president of marketing and sales for JMA Sierra Ventures, LLC, parent company of Alpine Meadows and Homewood.  “With 5900 acres of some of the country’s most prized terrain, nine terrain parks, and famously deep powder, Triple Threat offers unlimited terrain options as well as a superb value,” she added.   

Undergraduate and graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year college or university carrying a minimum of six units or credits.  Students must produce a signed letter from his or her school registrar, administration, or Dean stating he or she is enrolled full-time, carrying the minimum of six credits or units.  Students are required to show a photo I.D. and college transcript when picking up their purchased season pass. 

The Triple Threat Limited pass offers additional resort benefits such as a ten percent savings on retail and dining, complimentary internet, and two-for-one private instruction at Alpine Meadows; and two discounted Kirkwood buddy tickets per day, ten percent off of Kirkwood logo wear and savings at www.ShopKirkwood.com.

The Triple Threat Unlimited pass offers resort benefits such as a 10 percent retail/dining savings, complimentary internet, and two-for-one private instruction at Alpine Meadows; and two complimentary Kirkwood buddy tickets to be used on or before December 25, 2011.  Additionally, four discounted buddy tickets may be purchased per day.   A 20 percent retail savings at Kirkwood is also available.  Additionally, Triple Threat pass holders receive a $25 dining credit at Homewood’s West Shore Café & Inn.

*Unlimited Triple Threat season passes are not valid at Alpine Meadows and Homewood Mountain Resorts on the following days during winter 2011-2012: December 26 – December 31, 2011; January 14 & 15, 2012; and February 18 & 19, 2012.  Unlimited Triple Threat season passes are valid every day including holidays at Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

*Limited Triple Threat season passes are not valid at Alpine Meadows, Homewood, and Kirkwood Mountain Resorts on the following days during winter 2011-2012: all Saturdays and Sundays; December 26 – December 31, 2011; January 14 – January 16, 2012; and February 18 – February 20, 2012.
