Erik Roner: Skier extraordinaire, BASE jumping and sky diving enthusiast, star of Nitro Circus, husband, father… Between skiing, being a family man and jumping from great heights, Roner has been around the block. Here, he shares some of his favorite things.
MY FAVORITE PLACE TO HUCK CLIFFS ON SKIS is Engelberg, Switzerland. Cliffs are everywhere and if you hit the conditions right you can log significant airtime.
MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SKI POWDER is Little Cottonwood Canyon. Of all the places I’ve been, LCC consistently gets some of the finest snow in the world. It’s hard to beat that canyon when it comes to powder skiing.
MY FAVORITE SKIER, it's a tough call between Scott Schmidt, Shane McConkey and Seth Morrison. They’ve all been huge inspirations in my life.
MY FAVORITE ÁPRES SPOT is Le Chamois at Squaw Valley. My brother-in-law owns the joint and it’s the perfect place to end your ski day.
MY FAVORITE BEVERAGE AT THE END OF A LONG SKI DAY is a cold one.
MY FAVORITE PLACE TO BASE JUMP is Europe. They have all the big cliffs and no rules. Europe is just rad.

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT NITRO CIRCUS is stepping outside my comfort zone to try things I never thought I would. It’s fun to scare yourself.
MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT TRAVIS PASTRANA is that he’s gnarly and such a dork at the same time. He’s goofy and doesn’t take himself seriously but sends it harder than anyone I know.
MY FAVORITE TOY is my son Oskar. He’s durable.
MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING A DAD is watching Oskar absorb everything he sees. It’s truly amazing to watch a little one grow up.
MY FAVORITE BEACH is a small spot a few miles from my house on Lake Tahoe. I go there to relax or have a quiet moment. It’s a special place.
MY FAVORITE FOOD, sushi!
MY FAVORITE POP STAR is Britney Spears, duh.
MY FAVORITE VIDEO GAME is Mike Tyson's Punch Out. Not much of gamer after the early Nintendo years.
MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY, Christmas is always a good time of year. Family, celebrating and winter all wrapped in one.
