She’s been hailed as one of the most well-versed females in freeskiing. Devin Logan, 19, ended the 2011/12 AFP tour as overall champion, proving the acclaim is indeed deserved. We caught up with the champ to talk about a few of her favorite things, from tricks to food, parks to powder days and byeond. She also touches on some of her least favorite things—Bieber fans beware.
My favorite place to ski is Mammoth. My brothers live there, so I spend as much time as I can there. It’s either really sunny or dumping snow, and it’s nice to have some family around.
My favorite pipe is Aspen’s X Games pipe. It's always perfect, it’s a lot of fun.
My favorite park is Mammoth, again, because it’s awesome. The jumps are built so perfectly and there’s always a good crew to ski with.
My favorite movie… I don’t have a favorite. I’m a fan of RomCom [laughs].

My favorite song to shred to… I really like a lot of different rap music. This year my go-to song before I’d drop in was DMX “X Gon’ Give it to Ya” [laughs].
My favorite trick to throw… a rodeo five is a fun trick, and cork 7s. I enjoy doing those a lot. It’s an easy one.
My favorite competition… X Games is always fun, but there’s a lot of pressure. Any competition that doesn’t have as much pressure—just to go out and have fun.
My favorite piece of gear is my balaclava underneath my helmet and hat because I’m really fair skinned and I get a goggle tan real' easy, so I’m trying to avoid that.
My favorite thing about being a pro skier is being able to travel, and getting the opportunity to go someplace new. Although once you’re on the road for awhile you miss your own bed, but I guess it’s just part of being a pro skier.
My favorite thing about potentially going to Olympics is just going and being able to experience it. I can’t really think about it now, it's crazy.
My favorite food… I like all foods, I don’t object. I can eat anything.
My favorite powder day in recent memory was last year skiing Mammoth with my brothers. We’d just go find stashes all over the mountain that weren’t hit. Also got a couple good days in at Breckenridge before X Games last year—it snowed like 20 inches.

My favorite teen pop star… Well, I hate Justin Bieber, I really don’t like him. I hate Bieber Fever [laughs].
