A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST
THURSDAY.
SNOW HAS BEGUN IN THE SOUTH WASHINGTON AND NORTH OREGON CASCADES
AND FOOTHILLS EARLY THIS MORNING AND WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD SOUTH
AND INCREASE IN INTENSITY THROUGH THE DAY. WITH THE VERY COLD AIR
MASS IN PLACE THIS STORM WILL BRING LIGHT AND FLUFFY SNOW THAT MAY
EASILY BE BLOWN AROUND AND REDUCE VISIBILITIES.
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 15 TO 30 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE
CASCADES THROUGH TONIGHT…WITH THE HEAVIEST ACCUMULATIONS BEING
IN THE SOUTH WASHINGTON AND NORTH OREGON CASCADES. ACCUMULATIONS
OF 8 TO 15 INCHES OF SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO FALL IN THE SOUTH
WASHINGTON AND NORTH OREGON CASCADE FOOTHILLS THROUGH TONIGHT…
WITH 4 TO 8 INCHES EXPECTED IN THE FOOTHILLS OF LANE COUNTY.
ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ON
THURSDAY AS WELL.
